Fifi Bijoux creates the kind of jewellery that will be proudly passed down in families from one generation to the next. The story behind each piece is as heartwarming, as the metals and precious stones are shiny.

Since debuting at Paris Fashion Week in 2009, Vivien Johnston, the brains behind the brand, has upheld her firm commitment to making a positive contribution to the people who mine the precious metals and gemstones we all love. And she has been winning the hearts of the media and celebrities alike along the way.

The Scottish brand has graced the pages of Cosmopolitan, Elle, Marie Claire, Observer, Guardian, International Herald Tribune and Le Monde, been named by The Independent newspaper as the ‘Best Luxury Buy ’ and been described by Harpers Bazaar as ‘The Fairest of them All’ in their ‘Most Wanted’ list.

A-list fans range from the fashioner designer Jimmy Choo, OBE, and one of our favourite couples, Colin and Livia Firth, to BBC newsreader George Alagiah, ( he wears Fifi Bijoux cufflinks on the BBC 6 o’clock news) and singer-songwriter, Annie Lennox.

We all watched the Leonardo diCaprio movie, Blood Diamonds, in horror and since then the jewellery industry has been forced to become more transparent but it’s a complex issue and there’s a long way to go. Fifi Bijoux takes responsibility for the entire supply chain and there aren’t many brands that can truly claim to be able to tell you, the exact mine where your diamond came from and where it was cut and polished….’ These mines and polishing workshops must comply with Fifi Bijoux’s ethical criteria for social responsibility and environmental stewardship.

Trace your Diamond’ – provides unique tracking number. The company takes exceptional care in selecting suppliers and only sources from programmes who comply with stringent eco sustainability standards; from fair trading, small-scale mining co-operatives that reinvest profits back into the community; Jewellery is made using ethically-mined gold, silver and Ethical, conflict free diamonds are used as well as gemstones from fair trading mines, or those which re-invest profits into the local community. Ethically mined gold, platinum and silver are available.

Working in partnership with businesses, NGOs and communities, Fifi Bijoux believes in ‘luxury as it should be, without the blood, sweat and tears’.

More reasons to buy your bling from Fifi Bijoux:

Conflict diamonds remain a very real issue as do the negative impact on people and planet of mining precious metals… child labour and forced labour and the use of cyanide or mercury

10% of profits from its Little Acorns pendant and Oak Leaf Ring going straight into a child sponsorship programme, administered by the Entebbe Women’s Association, which pays for the education of orphans in the area, many of whom would otherwise work in lethal and dangerous mines.

Not content with helping just humans, in 2009, Fifi Bijoux also launched an exclusive collection especially for WWF World Wildlife Fund with designs based on some of the most endangered species, including tigers, dolphins, the famous panda logo and an Amazon leaf.
