Nueluxe Participant Beliefs
As responsible entrepreneurs, we believe in the following, which motivates our participation in Nueluxe:
1. Sustainable development is a key challenge of our time and requires business leadership to empower both consumers and employees to respond;
2. Due to superior investments in quality and communications, premium quality firms and brands have a particular opportunity and responsibility to lead both business and consumers in the pursuit of sustainable development;
3. Making a greater contribution to sustainable development in comparison to other companies in similar business sectors is now a key dimension to being a premium quality firm or brand;
4. Achieving social and environmental excellence requires a company to manage its performance on all the issues identified by relevant and credible international standards, as established by intergovernmental or multi-stakeholder agencies, and deliver superior performance on an increasing range of those issues;
5. The implementation of a strategy for social and environmental excellence requires prioritizing issues raised by stakeholders in the value chain, with transparency on performance and collaboration to reduce any negative impacts and increase positive contributions.

To manifest our beliefs in responsible enterprise, our company commits to the following as a requirement/element(???) of participation in Nueluxe:
1. We will incorporate environmental, social and ethical issues into our official business purpose and strategic planning
2. We will integrate environmental, social and ethical considerations into our product innovation and design processes in order to achieve new levels of excellence
3. We will engage stakeholders in our business to determine what issues to address and prioritise, and how to implement
4. We will work together with other companies that commit to these principles to advance our performance together
5. We will communicate our commitment to these principles to all our business partners and the wider industry
6. We will report on our activities and progress in implementing these principles
7. We will promote industry-wide metrics and seek independent verification for our claims of performance on environmental, social and ethical issues.
